This really is not the breed for everyone; however there is nothing like owning an Akita. Most people who have owned this breed vow they will never own another breed.
Our goal here is to make each and every potential owner fully aware they will be entering into a 10-16 yr commitment with a new family member, something that cannot be taken lightly nor entered into as a "whim".
Do your homework, visit dog shows in your area, meet Akita breeders at club meetings and at shows. Get to know the person breeding your next family member. Use the links, the files, the educational material available so you can make your own decision!!!
